Sustainable Production

From initial design concepts to the ink on our packaging, we strive to make smart decisions that are crucial to our mission of creating product that is as gentle on the planet as possible. This is our Call to Action.

In every stage of our production’s cycle, we strive to reduce the use of water, energy, chemicals and waste and are committed to working with suppliers who share our environmental practices.

Certifications

We’ve selected these suppliers because they have achieved the following environmental certifications which demonstrate their commitment to sustainability


OEKO-TEX ®

Attests that materials from our suppliers do not contain and do not release any harmful substances that can be hazardous to people’s health. Finished products undergo painstaking laboratory analyses checking for the presence/release of harmful substances, such as pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, aromatic amines, allergizing colorants. The requirements and thresholds are constantly updated based on the latest medical-scientific studies.


ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION

The certification for conformity to standards UNI EN ISO 14001 is renews every year and attests that our fabric suppliers meet environmental management requirements set out in the standards, keeping the principles of sustainable development from the supplier of our fabric mills.


PEF CERTIFICATION

PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) measures the environmental footprint across the entire life cycle of a product thanks to 16 environmental indicators such as the water footprint, the carbon footprint and the energy footprint of our C2A Fabric Supplier.


EU REACH REGULATION

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is a recording, evaluation and authorization system that governs the use and import of harmful chemicals. Our supplier has promised to comply with the system in every respect and makes sure that its raw materials suppliers in their turn comply with the applicable health and safety standards , as attested by the OEKO-TEX ® certification.


CM 4SUSTAINABILITY

The Chemical Management certificate declares the Company’s adoption of the ZDHC protocol for the elimination of toxic and harmful substances in production processes. We especially seek products from this supplier because they have reached the “advanced” level of the path, supporting the “ZDHC roadmap to zero” as a contributor.


BLUESIGN ®

Our patent pending Bits Blocker ™technology is produced following the BLUESIGN ® certified production processes. Bluesign ® is a is a holistic system that provides solutions in sustainable processing and manufacturing to industries and brands. Based on strict criteria, auxiliary material and services are developed to support the company specifically in its sustainable development. As an independent authority, BLUESIGN ® checks the progress that a company has made in this effort, provides continual further development of solutions and continuously optimizes its criteria.
